We are only about 1 hour from Springfield, MIssouri, where we’ll play today.
I thought I might do a load or two of laundry as the kids are getting low on undergarments but someone was working on the first few of about 20 loads she needed to do…. I’ll need to do laundry within two days or the kids will be wearing dirty britches.
Missouri reminds we a lot of the the northeast. There are trees, green grass, and hills. Maybe minus a few mountains, but otherwise it’s looking more like home.
In Springfield we looked into another doggy daycare for Oscar but when they wouldn’t let me see the facility but instead offered me a nicely propped photo album I opted to keep Oscar with us.
Sparky dropped us at the Discovery Place, another hands on science center where admission is free for ASTC members (we are definitely getting our monies worth from our membership), while he went to get some quick wiring fixed before joining us.
The kids played with electricity
And explored lots of activities
Read the news for LIVE TV
Had a little water fun
And of course, who doesnt want to drink from a toilet? Actually only Carboy would drink out of it….
Then a little more fun in the market
Before a fire alarm sent us all outside and graced us with the presence of the local Fire Department.
Then the kids put on a show in the theatre
Carboy was a good stagehand.
Some gas and dinner and we are continuing East.
We watched some fireworks in the distance as Sparky pumped gas at our last stop of the night. Missing our hometown parade and fireworks today. Especially this 250th Anniversary year. We chose this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity over that one and I am pretty happy with our decision.
